Chitwan jungle safari is the most popular choice of those wanting to have a great wildlife safari experience in Nepal. Chitwan National park is situated in south central of Nepal, covering 932 km in the subtropical low land of inner Terai has long been one of the coutry's treasures of wildlife sanctuary. The name 'Chitwan" means ' Heart of the Jungle', is a home to the endanger Royal Bengal tiger, Indian one -horn rhino, sloth bear, langur monkeys, wild boar, leopard, jungle cats, various type of deer, over 400 species of colourful birds.

On our Chitwan wildlife safari trip we take Elephant back ride, which is a fantastic way to explore the jungle. It also offers the close-up sight of one - horn rhino in their natural habitats, numerous species of deer, langur monkeys, wild boar etc. With over 400 of bird species as either permanent resident of migratory visitors are viewed on foot as you walk through jungle and open grassland. Canoe rides along the Rapti River on the western bank of the park is the shelters a quarter of the world's remaining gharial population. This fish eater crocodile has long been hunted for the supposed aphrodisiac qualities of its snout.

UNESCO has designated Chitwan National park a Natural World Heritage site in 1984.  To start the Chitwan jungle safari trip we either take a car or bus drive from Kathmandu or Pokhara. There is regular flight conecting Chitwan from Kathmandu. It is great to have relaxing wildlife safari trip after any of the trekking and peak climbing trips in Himalaya.
