During our very recent stupendous 3 week trek in the Everest region we were able to spend a few days in Kathmandu both before and after the trek with an absolutely excellent guide Ram, all organised brilliantly by Pradip at Mountain Monarch.

Ram had the most amazing knowledge of all the wonderful sights in and around this mind boggling city and was truly adept at passing it all on to us in a most friendly and humorous manner, top man.

His sense of care and fun was superb and we thank both Ram and Pradip for giving us this tremendous insight into a truly wonderful city and country,as someone else once said- - we'll be back !!

My wife and I have made three treks in Nepal, two with Mountain Monarch Adventures. We are planning others, and they will definitely be with Mountain Monarch as well. Our last trek, on the Annapurna Circuit, was most unusual for several reasons. We were celebrating our seventieth birthdays and our fiftieth wedding anniversary all at once. The guides from MMA made it all very wonderful. They arranged for us to use the Manang Gompa to renew our wedding vows, and they put on a party for us at the Hotel Yak afterwards. As if this weren’t enough to set it apart from every other trip we have ever done, I also arranged for an extra porter to carry an inexpensive digital x-ray system and to help me test it at several clinics along the route. My dream is to bring digital radiology and telemedicine to many of the remote clinics and hospitals in Nepal, and Mountain Monarch is fully committed to helping me make it happen. We have done many treks around the world, but MMA is far and away the best company we have ever worked with. Pradip and his team – Subash, Narendra, Phurba, Gyanendra and the others – are outstanding people and good friends, and we look forward to seeing all of them again in the near future.

Emma and I had a wonderful time in Nepal trekking The Annapurna Sanctuary trail. We were very impressed with the organisation and the ability to tailor our trip to our only available dates. A nice touch was the down sleeping bags and jackets.

Sunny was our guide and he along with Lanka and the two porters both called Kamal, made our trek so much fun and a wonderful experience. We felt very safe in those amazing mountains and well looked after, but also had the freedom to walk at our own pace!
To go to bed seeing starlit skies and to wake in the morning to snowcapped mountains will never be forgotten, also the tea in bed! Emma celebrated her birthday on the last day and it was made very special along with Birthday cake!

I would love to return to Nepal and would definitely use Mountain Monarch again, also the same guides and porters who felt like friends.

Annapurna Sanctuary Trip April 2009

We chose Mountain Monarch primarily because they were a local company and plenty of time was allocated to allow for acclimatization. Unlike some other companies MM allowed plenty of time to acclimatize which therefore maximized our chances of a successful trek and climb. The trek and climb were well organized and the equipment provided (4-season sleeping bag, 2 man tent, ice axe, etc.) was more than adequate. Whilst trekking we stayed in tea houses, which were mostly of a high standard and were clean and comfortable. Food was good and there was plenty of it. We followed our guides advice avoided certain foods and as a result experienced no stomach complaints. During the climb of Chulu West we moved away from the main trekking route and we stayed in tents. We had an excellent cook and assistant who produced a variety of tasty meals. Our climbing Sherpa Sange was a great character with many years experience. He ensured that our climb went without incident and it was a real pleasure to spend time with him. Dawa, our guide, looked after our daily needs and ensured that our trekking was hassle free. Our MM crews were a great bunch who looked after us well. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Nepal and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mountain Monarch to others

I chose Mountain Monarch for my Himalayan adventure online after comparing it to a number of other trekking companies offering similar services. It seemed to me that Mountain Monarch gave a very comprehensive package and better value for money. I felt I would be doing more good for Nepalis spending it with them rather than with some foreign company which just clips a coupon.

I was very very happy with my choice. The MMA team made our Mera Peak trip a fantastic and unforgettable experience from start to finish. The team of guides and porters (20 strong) took care of all our needs in the nicest possible way, always willing, always smiling and always professional. Great routes, top notch local knowledge, wonderful food, (the cook and kitchen staff spoiled us rotten) and total dedication to acclimatization and safety are what characterise MMA.

The MMA team brought us all to summit of Mera Peak successfully, for a truly unique experience which we will all treasure. I am already planning next years' adventure in Nepal. Of course it will be with Mountain Monarch.

Its one of my most memorable holiday + the toughest too I probably would not have been able to complete the ABC trek without Mountain Monarch sherpa ! I am the slowest in my group and its like being left behind everyday But Ugal was always behind me thus giving me the companionship More important he was like a silent block that "pushes" me that I must reach the Tea House if not I will be letting myself down and him too I have this phobia of slipping especially downhill and it was reassuring that Santos another sherpa was holding the first aid kit and walking next to me too And I really welcome the helping hand when crossing the stream too They made me feel that I am SAFE and in GOOD HANDS and thats how I manage to complete the trek Thanks for making it happen

Our trip was not only perfect, it was life-changing. It is difficult to get out of our minds all that we saw, learned, enjoyed and experienced.

You really customized a great itinerary for us keeping our wishes and needs in mind. We do not regret having to skip Chitwan given the road block that prevented our visit there. Pokhara turned out to be a great alternative destination that I could not have imagined missing out on for its great lake and mountain views, shopping and quaint feel. Our wonderful guide, Ram, kept us well exercised and informed, as we requested, on fabulous morning hikes up in mountain villages in the area. I kept what we really enjoyed, eliminated what could be, and adjusted accordingly. Thank you for your excellent service and organisation.

Let me first start by writing Thank you and the team for the wonderful expedition. Our trek to Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar was truly an experience we all will cherish for a longtime. From bringing a cup of tea first thing in the morning, to taking care of minor first aid, and especially when I got sick the first few days, Sunil our lead guide, Yoogle, Divi and Raju took care of us the entire trek. They were knowledgeable, confident and made us feel completely comfortable. They supported us all along the way. They were fun loving and quickly became more our friends than staff from mountain monarch guiding us! They made the entire trek memorable. Pradip you as the MD were great, always available to help and support and ensure all our needs are met.

I (we) wholeheartedly endorse and recommend Mountain Monarch. If we are fortunate enough to return to Nepal in the coming years we look no further - it definitely will be Mountain Monarch.
