Annapurna Circuit Trek is
one of the world’s classic, most
diverse and stunning trekking route in
Nepal. Trekking around Annapurna unleash
the dramatic contrasts between green terraced
farmland of the Marshyangdi valley to
the superb Himalayas vistas of Lamjung,
Himalchuli, Manaslu, Gangapurna, Pisnang,
Nilgiri, Tilicho, Tukuche, Fishtail, mighty
Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges towering
spectacularly over the valley. Rich cultural
diversity of Hinduism, Tibetan Mahayana,
Buddhism and the mysterious Bon-Po religion
still co-exist and intermingle with each
other in this region.
We start the Annapurna Circuit
trek from Bulbule after a drive from Kathmandu.
Trekking begins through terraced farmland,
temperate forest and alpine meadows, before
entering the high valleys with the glacier-dolloped
Annapurnas towering almost 5000m above
you. We trek over the Thorung la at 5416
meter with the challenge and sense of
achievement. The views from the pass is
truly spectacular, spreads from the northwest
wind eroded “Once Forbidden Kingdom”
of Mustang valley to incredible mountain
ranges of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri to
the southwest. Descend towards Kaligandiki
valley from the pass is challenging but
rewarding. We enjoy and explore the arid
beauty of Tibetan plateau on the way to
the shrine of Muktinath, a pilgrimage
site being worshiped by both Hindu and
Buddhist devotees together. The Annapurna
circuit trek travel itinerary continues
with the descend through the Nepal -Tibet
trading villages along the dramatic Kali
Gandaki valley, the world’s deepest
gorge on the back dropped by sensational
views of Mount Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri.
The last but not the least
highlight is an early morning hike of
the well-known viewpoint of Poon Hill
to witness the glory of the sunrise over
the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges. Exploration
of Kathmandu’s wonder world heritage
sites and pristine peaceful lake city
of Pokhara adds more charm in your adventure
holiday travel to Annapurna Circuit trekking
in Nepal.
