TREKKING : Around Manaslu Trek |
| |
|
Remote
trek to the serene Manasalu panorama
experiencing the unspoiled diverse
ethno- culture and their tradition. |
| Trekking
around Manasalu offers a unique opportunity
to experience relatively untouched
part of Nepal. Trekking in Manasalu
region was officially opened to trekkers
in 1991 but mountaineering expeditions
have had long access to this region.
A team led by H W Tillman trekked
from Tonje to Bhimtang and Col. Jimmy
Roberts crossed Larke La (5230m) looking
for an interesting mountain to climb
in 1950. However the Japanese Expedition
Team climbed Manasalu only in 1956.
The around Manasalu trek starts from
the ramparts of an historical place
perched on a ridge high above Gorkha
in central Nepal and Manaslu Himal
appears like a rugged arctic wall
far to the north. Trekking round Manasalu
exhibits the sensational mountain
views, fascinating culture and has
one of the most dramatic Himalayan
high altitudes pass called Larke La.
Much of the around Manasalu trek is
in the region known as Nupri, an area
of strong Tibetan influence with the
trade route between the regions is
still active. Undoubtedly around Manasalu
trek makes your adventure dream of
remote trekking in Nepal come true.

Not one specific
thing, lots of things, the cultural
elements, the scenery, the companionship
of staff who looked after me perfectly
and pointed out things of interest
to me. You are doing a wonderful
Job; I wish your company all the
best for the future."
