villages and alpine forest, to the
windswept open ridges of Pike peak
(4065m). From here the panoramic view
is incredible, including the seven
8000-metre peaks: Kanchenjunga, Makalu,
Everest, Lhotse, Manaslu, Annapurna
and Shishapangma in Tiebet and other

Khatang , Shishapangma, Mera, Thamserku
etc all over horzon.
After witnessing the stunning views
from Pikey peak we descend to Junbesi,
the most beautiful Sherpa village
on the way to Dudh Kuknda through
forest of rhododendron and fir. Ascending
above the tree line onto craggy high
ridges to over 4000 metres we enjoy
unrestricted views of Mera Peak, Thamserku,
Makalu and off course Mt. Everest.
Exploring the monasteries and Shengeephuk
cave we trek further up to the sacred
lake of Dudhkunda ( 4560m) in the
lap of Mt. Numbur and Karyolung, where
tumbling icefalls hang precariously
above the holy mountain lake’s
blue calm waters. We trek down via
Trakshindo monastery to the himalayan
settlements of Phaphlu to take breathtaking
flight back to Kathmandu to end our
trip to Sherpa Everest High Country. |
