Nepal Visa and Entry Procedure

All visitors except the Indian nationals must hold a passport and valid visa to enter Nepal. Nepal Visa can be obtained at the Nepalese embassies or consulates abroad. Nepal entry Visa is also issued at the entry points like Kathmandu International airport upon arrival. Children under 10 years need not pay any visa fee. People willing to get Nepal Visa required to fill the visa form online with a passport photograph. NOTE:

Currently, Nepal Government has suspended on arrival visas due to Covid 19 Pandemic. You can get the Nepal Visa on overseas embassies and International Airport in Kathmandu once you have the government approve required travel document only. There is mandatory 7 days hotel quarintine on arrival in Nepal.

Nepal Tourist Visa (Multiple entry) Duration and Fees

15 Days: US$ 30 only

30 Days: US$ 50 only

90 Days US$ 125 onlyor equivalent convertible currency

We suggest all of our guests' fill-up the online Nepal visa application form before you take a flight to Kathmandu if you are planning to get the Nepal entry visa on arrival at Kathmandu airport. You can get the reference number after filling up the online Nepal visa form which valid for 15 days only. Once you have the visa reference number you can pay the visa fees at Kathmandu airport. (Make sure to have US$ Cash to pay the visa fees.) Then you can stay online to get the visa stamped with your passport and receipt of visa fees. This does save your time in Kathmandu airport to get the Nepal entry visa.

Tourist Visa Extension

Visa extension fee for 15 days or less is the US$ 30 or equivalent convertible currency and visa extension fee for more than 15 days is US$ 3 per day
A tourist visa can be extended for a maximum period of 150 days in a single visa year (January – December).

Gratis (Free) Visa

  • Gratis visa for 30 days available only for tourists of SAARC countries.
  • Indian nationals do not require a visa to enter into Nepal

Transit Visa

Transit visa for one day can be obtained from Nepal's immigration offices at the entry points upon the production of departure flight tickets via Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal, by paying US$ 5 or equivalent convertible currency.

Note: Nepal government gives visas on arrival to all nationalities except following Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, and Ethiopia from the African continent as well as Iraq, Palestine, and Afghanistan from the Asia continent.
