Everest base camp trek:- 01 Trekker : 01 Porter
Checking all the gears and getting prepared, we take an exciting flight to Lukla airport to start the guided adventure hike to the Everest base camp in Nepal. Hiking along the Dudh Koshi river, we climb up to the busting Sherpa settlement of Namche Bazaar where we spend two nights to ensure proper acclimatization with exploration hike around. Leaving Namche we hike to the hidden valley of Khunde and Khumjung and then to Dingboche via Mong la and Phortse. No doubt the different and less trodden trek route than the regular Everest base camp trek itinerary allows all the trekkers in group to have enough time for proper and better acclimatisation. Our expedition style EBC Kalapathar hiking route explore the unspoiled corners in the Khumbu region which many of the classic trekking groups have been simply missing it.
The alpine scenery on base camp trek become more rugged as we hike above the tree line on the Khumbu glacier moraines to Gorak Shep via Lobuche, the last settlement before the base camp. The climb on to the landmark destination of the Mount Everest base camp to leave the footprint over the boulder-strewn moraines can be challenging but very rewarding for the sense of great achievement. We hike up to the Kalapathar at the height of 5545 meters, the highest point on our entire trek, from where the experience of seeing the mount Everest and wonderful Himalayan vista – never to be forgotten.
We walk down to Lukla via the Pheriche and Thyangboche monastery a different trail than we ascend up to the EBC. The great thing of this Mountain Monarch’s Everest base camp trekking itinerary is that we can still continue our exploration and enjoy the diverse angle views of Himalayan ranges on our return. Our experienced and medical trained group leader and enough support crew including the responsible trekking of 01 porter : 01 trekker always with you to support.
