Annapurna Dhaulagiri Trek: Less Trodden Trail

Annapurna Dhaulagiri Trek, also known as the Khopra Ridge Trekking, unfolds the breathtaking panorama of majestic Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges at its best. This is Nepal’s two-week-long best off-the-beaten community-based lodge trekking into the heart of Annapurna region. The profits from this community teahouse directly benefit the local schools and people in the region. This Khopra Danda trail winds through several transitional villages. Oak and rhododendron forests to the high alpine meadows of Khopra Danda and Kaire Lake.

Khopra Ridge Trek: 2-Week Teahouse Trek in Annapurna

Upon your arrival in the bustling city of Kathmandu, you will join a welcome dinner with fellow trekkers and a guide to get to know each other in a group. You have time to explore the sights and sounds of cultural sites of Kathmandu Valley before we head to Pokhara, Lake City, to start the journey to Annapurna Dhaulagiri Trekking. You ascend slowly and steadily through the lust forest to Tadapani via the Gurung settlement of Ghandruk. The tiny thatched roofed houses nestled among the narrow-terraced fields on the backdropped of breathtaking peaks amaze the trekkers. The less-trodden trail passes through the picturesque alpine settlement of Bayeli and Dobato to Khopra Danda.

Khopra Danda and Khayer Lake

Khopra Dandaillustrates the most incredible views of the colossal ramparts of Dhaulagiri. It plunges from the misty depths of the Kali Gandaki, the deepest gorge in the world. The spectacular lofty peaks of Nilgiri, Annapurna I, and Annapurna South surround this gorge–absolutely mind blogging scenery ever imagined. The day exploration hike to Khayer Lakes is the highest point in our journey to Khapra Danda trekking. This lake is an old pilgrimage shining on the base of the majestic peak of Annapurna Fang. On return, we follow a different route to Ghorepani via Swanta. Your morning hike to Poon Hill presents the sunrise views on Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu ranges.
