Besides the popularly known best time of Spring and Autumn seasons, mid-winter December is also a great and ideal time to do the Everest base camp trek. Though it gets colder at night, the sky remains clear in winter, offering a tantalizing view of stunning peaks. Nowadays, we have many standard teahouses all around the Everest region; thus, we can handle the cold nights with good gear and better accommodation than what we used to have the only option of tented camping to Everest base camp earlier.
