Nar Phu Tilicho Lake Trek in Annapurna

The Annapurna Nar Phu Tilicho trek, a less trodden route in the Annapurna region, is ideal for those trekkers who have the time and appetite to venture into some remote areas of Nepal beyond the regular trekking trails. This tea house trek offers the pictorial landscape of the recently opened region of Nar and Phu valley, situated just north of the famous Annapurna circuit route. The Nar Phu valley topography is trans-Himalayan and similar to Tibet. Thus the trails are still rugged that have changed little over the years. We spend a few days exploring this remote valley and cross the Kang La pass (5,300m) on the way to Manang.

An Exploration of Great Himalayan trail's high passes, remote Nar Phu Valley and Tilicho Lake

Furthermore, we head to Jomsom via the best-kept secret remote trekking route of Meso Kantu pass (5,099m) and the world's highest situated outstanding Tilicho Lake (5,300m). The entire trekking route of Annapurna Nar Phu Tilicho trek is a section of GHT, the Great Himalayan Trail. Notably, this less trodden trail of Mesokunda pass offers a more challenging and exciting alternative to the popular Thorong La pass. Finally, we take an exhilarating mountain flight from Jomsom to Pokhara via the Kali Gandaki gorge. This flight offers the stunning Himalayan ranges of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna on both sides. We spend a night in Pokhara, an adventure hub destination for many tourists visiting Nepal. Ultimately we return to Kathmandu to savor our exhilarating journey to Nar Phu valley, trekking with Tilicho lake trip in the vastness of the Annapurna.

                                Well Organised Trek

I would highly recommend to anyone wishing to trek in the Nepal region to use the services of Mountain Monarch and the excellent team that supports all treks and activities.

As this was my second trip with MM, the previous being the High passes and peaks (2010), Pradip and his team of professionals provided a truly remarkable and unforgettable experience from the very first email to the send-off at the airport and which we will all have lifelong memories of our experience in the Nepal region. I cannot thank MM enough for a well-organized trek.

Our recent trip to the Annapurna circuit and Tilicho Lakeside trip (6 trekkers) again was excellent, with outstanding communication and well-organized from Pradip and his team, and the side trip to Tilicho Lake was a highlight of the trip.

Our team of Netra (leading guide), Ram, Jeet, and Jaya (asst guides), Dill, Cous, and Saban (porters) provided an incredible job in looking after all of our needs and providing a safe trek, especially over the Landslide areas on the way to Tilicho base camp and over the pass. So often humorous and informative, we all enjoyed the team's company and forged friendships along the way, which made for a truly unforgettable experience.

All equipment provided was first class and in good order, and food along the way was ample and sufficient, with one of our team requiring a special diet which was well catered for. In addition, their recommendations of what to eat above certain heights helped our acclimatization along the trek.

From start to finish, our team would like to congratulate MM for an incredible job. I personally would never use another company for future treks in Nepal and would not hesitate to recommend MM to anyone who wishes to Trek in Nepal or the other countries they provide services.
I have trekked in a lot of countries, and no other company has provided the communication and responses that Pradip has delivered, which made the trekking experience one of the most enjoyable our team has experienced, so again, Pradip and the whole group of MM – well done and keep up the excellent work.

                                Excellent Team

We all had a great time Pradip; thank you so much for taking such good care of us! I have to admit, I was a bit worried about what type of organization I had signed up for online, but from the moment you picked us up from the airport, I felt we were in good hands.

Thank you for your attention to our needs and for being so flexible with the itinerary.

As Brian said, I will definitely recommend your company to any of our friends who wish to travel to Nepal. Best of luck with growing your enterprise. I’m sure you’ll be successful because you have the best interests of everyone in mind.
