Exploring the sights and sounds of historical places in Kathmandu, we start our tea house trek with a drive to Jiri. The Pikey Peak trek route passes through terraced hillsides, Sherpa villages, and alpine forests to the windswept open ridges of Pike peak (4065 m). The panoramic view is incredible from here, including the seven 8000 meters peaks. They are Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, Manaslu, Annapurna, and Shishapangma in Tibet. Besides that, other Himalayan peaks like Gauri Shanker, Lhotse Shar, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam as seen from the top. Furthermore, Number peak, Khatang, Shishapangma, Mera, Thamserku, etc. all over the horizon.

Dudh Kunda Trek - Cultural Trail in Everest Region

The view above the tree line onto high craggy ridges to over 4000 meters on the way to Dudh Kunda is breathtaking. Unrestricted views of Mera Peak, Thamserku, Makalu, and of course, Mt. Everest - never to be forgotten. We explore the local monasteries and Shengeephuk cave. Furthermore, we trek further up to the sacred lake of Dudh Kunda (4560m) in the lap of Mt. Numbur and Karyolung. Where tumbling ice falls hang precariously above the holy mountain lake with calm blue water. We trek down via Trakshindo monastery to Phaphlu to take a breathtaking flight back to Kathmandu to end the exhilarating Dhudh Kunda Pikey Peak Trek.

A medically trained trek guide will lead this Dudh Kunda trek group. There will be an oxygen tank with a comprehensive medical box as a safety backup on this Pikey peak trekking in the Himalayas as a safety backup.
