Monsoon season in Nepal normally starts from June to August making most of the trekking routes wet. There are some rain shadow sections in the Himalayas, relatively a dry area on the leeward side of a mountain range that blocks the monsoon. There is where the trekking in monsoon in Nepal organize which is an equally wonderful experience. The great thing about monsoon trekking in Nepal is less crowded trekking trails. Furthermore, valleys are in blooms with flowers and lush vegetation and of course lively villagers working around the fields. One needs to be selective in choosing the trekking route while trekking in the month of June, July and August. We recommend doing the upper Mustang, upper Dolpo.
