Monsoon season in Nepal normally starts from June to August making most of the trekking routes wet. There are some rain shadow sections in the Himalayas, relatively a dry area on the leeward side of a mountain ranges which blocks the monsoon. There is where the trekking in monsoon in Nepal organise which is equally wonderful experience. The great thing about the monsoon trekking in Nepal is less crowded trekking trails. Further more valleys are in blooms with flowers and lush vegetative and off course lively villagers working around the fields. One needs to be selective in choosing the trekking route while trekking in the month of June, July and August. We recommend doing the upper Mustang, upper Dolpo.
