With the help of Mountain Monarch, my wife and I, 59 and 57, completed the Annapurna Circuit hiking in Nov 2008. The scenery was spectacular, and the cultures were fascinating. Mountain Monarch was wonderful. Our guides, Gyanendra and Phurba, were true professionals but ended up being our family. From bringing tea first thing in the morning, taking care of minor first aid, and monitoring food preparation, they took care of us at every step.

They shared their culture, religion, and beliefs, pointed out things of interest, and entertained us. If there was a hazard on the trail, they were right at our elbow to assist if necessary. I miss their companionship. Our porters were amazing—big loads, steep hills, and always a smile on their faces.

I was impressed that Mountain Monarch ensured they had all the necessary equipment to keep them safe and warm. Pradip contacted us from beginning to end, answering our questions and ensuring our needs were met. He took us on our unforgettable tour of Kathmandu. I was initially impressed with the Mountain Monarch website, the feedback, and the endorsement for Lonely Planet.

I was probably most impressed with their prices, but I was a little worried that the prices were too reasonable—no need to worry. We stayed in the same quality of rooms, ate the same quality of food, and received the same, if not the better, guide service than those trekkers on the same route that were paying 2 -3 times as much. I wholeheartedly endorse Mountain Monarch. If I am ever fortunate enough to return to Nepal, I will look no further. Thank you, Mountain Monarch, for the trip of a lifetime.

Namaste, Pradip; I am writing to let you know about a fantastic trek I had with your company and especially the great job of our guide Ngima Sarki Sherpa in getting me to the base camp of mt. Everest. This adventure was my seventieth birthday present to myself, and because of your company and Ngima's outstanding guide skills, it was a complete success! Ngima was very professional and knowledgeable in so many aspects of trekking.

For example, when we got to higher altitudes, I lost my appetite and could not eat. However, he always watched over my meals, persuaded me to try to eat a little more or to take a few more bites, and so ensured that I could keep up my strength for climbing and trekking. Also, I was a little self–conscious about slipping on rocks and falling, so I was extra careful as we went up steep ascents or down deep descents.

Ngima stayed by my side, sometimes holding my arms, helping me cross wet rocks in streams, and assisting me when climbing was tough over loose rocks; when needed, he would have his assistance guide or porter help me as well. For example, my friend who trekked with me got headaches as we gained higher altitude, and Ngima was there to help. He knows what to do, ensuring she is warm and drinking enough water. She also got sick after eating some food, and he watched after her and gave her medicines to ensure she could continue the trek.

He studies many different subjects to prepare him to assist trekkers, and I feel very lucky that I had someone so knowledgeable as my guide on the trek to the base camp. The assistant guide Nuru and the porter Pasang were also very friendly, caring, and incredibly helpful. Ngima's management of them and their individual enthusiasm and professionalism made this trek run very smoothly no matter what circumstances we encountered: rain, sickness, forgotten pieces of gear, or difficult terrain. When I trek again, I will absolutely use Mountain Monarch as well as ask for Ngima as my guide. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience.

I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to trek to different parts of the world, such as Sikkim, India, China, Vietnam, etc. However, Karma has proven to be the best person I have traveled with thus far. From day one, he has proven that he is not only a guide but also a leader who brings a group of people from different backgrounds together and motivates us to achieve what we set out to do, especially when the going gets tough. And over the days, Karma and Mingma have become firm and close friends whose genuine and warm concern would leave the deepest impression on the trek.

Much has been said about the excellent assistance your team has provided; allow me to list down just a few -Well thought itineraries to ensure sufficient acclimatization by trekkers. Considering the limited options, especially at Lobuche and Gorakshep, it is apparent that Karma made a particular effort to confirm that the lodges were selected to ensure that we enjoy clean and safe accommodation.

Genuine concern for our emotional and physical well-being by showing our care in minor detail, such as ensuring that we get the correct nutrients from meals prepared hygienically by the kitchen and observing us.

We had a wonderful trip to Nepal, in no small part due to the great help and assistance provided by the team at Mountain Monarch. In particular, we found them very responsive to requests, modifications, and personalization with the trip. In addition, the team that accompanied us on the trek was equally helpful, friendly, and professional—highly recommended.

Just want to officially thank Mountain Monarch and the EBC Trek Karma Tamang leader for your outstanding service. As you know, at Pheriche, the Himalayan Rescue Association diagnosed me with High altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE), with 60% O2. After 2 hours of O2 supply and Diamox medication, they discharged me. With Karma and his team's continuous monitoring and supply of O2, I could make it to Everest Base Camp.

We also decided to descend from Kalapathar wisely. Balancing the act of knowing what is possible or what is not, responsible decision-making is what sets MMA apart. I want to thank Karma and the team for making my dream possible, especially making my birthday on April 1 special during the trek. Your genuine caring and professionalism are so unique now a day.

Dear Pradip, We recently took part in your Everest Chola pass trek, and we would like to thank you and the Mountain Monarch Adventures team, especially our group leader, Sunil Gurung, for what was an incredible journey, one that we will never forget! We were particularly impressed with Mountain Monarch's practices. Not once did we need to purchase drinking water; a comprehensive medical kit was always at hand, the porters were not overloaded (as we saw other porters from competition companies), and it was heartening to hear that Mountain Monarch is supporting the children of their porters to achieve an education.
