  • Q1. Heard 4 days Poon Hill to be easy hike - is it so? Can anyone join?

04 days Poonhill / Ghorepani trek is a small circuit trek giving you ample opportunity to witness the majestic Annapurna range and the spectacular landscape and to understand the culture of the western people popularly known as GURUNG. It's one of the highlights of the Annapurna region that, in reality, connects the great Annapurna Circuit Trek. This five days trekking is the easiest, and anyone with reasonable fitness can join the trek. Besides being different from the 1000s trekking agencies in Nepal, Mountain Monarch does anti-clockwise, making it more remarkable and trouble-free.

  • Since Poonhill trek happens to be the most accessible trekking destination, it is within reach for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. If truth be told, the Poonhill trek is quite fashionable among the family, Christmas groups, or people with tight schedules who want to see the most of Nepal. Therefore, not much preparation is needed besides a few miles walk before your visit and tolerating early wake-up calls for sunrise views.

  • There is zero chance of any high altitude sickness problem in the Poonhill trek as it is a low altitude trek. However, there might be chances of food poisoning or stomach problem if much care isn't taken with a new diet. However, your leader will always be there to assist you with choosing food. There is a beautiful saying for the Poonhill trek –"Leave behind your altitude medication and drink beer'.

  • The charging privilege for any of your electronic devices is around Poonhill treks; there might be charges levied in some tea houses. As for the hot showers, some are run by solar, fire chimneys, or liquid petroleum gas. For solar batteries, days are needed to have the perfect sun; however, hot showers are available in every tea house with minimum charges.

  • Usually not more than 4 to 6 hours, excluding lunch. However, it also depends on your pace though we allow you enough time to set up your own pace to make every day more entertaining. We usually start early so that you can reach the destination on time, leaving you enough time to explore and enjoy the serenity of the place.

  • Ghorepani Poonhill, one of the best Annapurna destinations with outstanding beauty, is doable even in winter. For ages, Mountain Monarch has been effectively organizing the the Poonhill trip for the Christmas group, which has always offered crystal clear weather and a great time in the Lake city of Pokhara. Morning and evening might be unpleasantly cold, but days are unbelievably alluring.

  • Mountain Monarch provides you with a warm trek jacket and a sleeping bag with a fleece liner to keep you warm and cozy. Then, of course, the complimentary trek Duffle bag to fit all your trek gear in.

  • This Annapurna Panorama Poon hill trek can be customized per your time duration and requirements. Let us know the tentative time of your visit to Nepal.

  • We oppose the use of plastic mineral water bottles for environmental concerns. Instead, our staff will supply you with appropriately boiled water every morning and evening. We suggest you bring one metal or plastic Nalgene bottle so that you can have enough to last the day

  • Tea houses in 4 days Poonhill trek are basic with twin bed sharing room and common toilets. But basic here doesn’t mean you sleep in dormitory rooms; privacy is well maintained. These tea houses are more of an extension of their local homes, which means a very cultural and traditional environment. Travelers have always appreciated the quality and quantity of food in the Poonhill trek, which has multiple choices, including traditional local food variety.

  • We cover around 50 km - 31 miles starting from Nayapul –Ghorepani – Hille – Nayapul.

Wonderful trip to Nepal and the Annapurna Panorama trek

Thank you and all the team for our wonderful trip to Nepal and the Annapurna Panorama trek. It has been one of the most enjoyable and extraordinary trips I’ve ever experienced. From when we stepped out of the airport to when we left Nepal, Yam was a considerate guide, and the organization was faultless. There was nothing to feel concerned about; we were just free to walk and open our eyes and hearts to Nepal.

We wish Mountain Monarch every success in the future.

Enjoyed every bit of Annapurna Poon Hill Trek with MM

My boyfriend and I went on the Annapurna Poon Hill Trek with MM and enjoyed every bit of it. From the minute of our arrival at the airport in Kathmandu until our departure, MM took great care of us. All transfers, accommodation, and trekking were organized by them; we could really enjoy the trek without hassle.

Our guide Sunny was very nice and gave us a detailed explanation of the mountains and landscapes we saw and insight into the Nepalese culture. We will definitely choose MM for our next trek in the region.

A great trek for my first trip to the Himalayas

An excellent trek for my first trip to the Himalayas. As the website says, a certain degree of fitness is definitely required. Pradip, the owner, was very helpful. All emails during initial inquiries & booking were answered promptly & clearly. From arrival to departure, everything was well organized & Pradip was v helpful & supportive. On the trek itself (lasting five days), the guide, Arjun, was friendly & good company. He always made sure the pace was right for me & was well-trained in all health & safety & first aid matters, even down to details like providing hand-sanitizing liquid at mealtimes. Santos, the porter, was always cheerful, despite the load he was carrying! The scenery was superb & this shorter trek is highly recommended as an introduction to trekking in Nepal & for the older or younger hike
