Langtang Trek - Less Trodden and Best Kept Secret Short Hiking

Langtang region is the 3rd most popular trekking region in Nepal besides Everest and Annapurna. This Langtang Trek is close to Kathmandu to start the hike and has its border with Tibet. Not to mention still the best-kept secret 10 days trip in the Himalayas - a trekkers paradise. It offers an opportunity to explore the rich mingled cultural heritage of the Tibetan origin of the Lama and Tamang people, ornately carved wooden windows, lively dance festivals, and skilled weaving traditions.

After getting prepared in Kathmandu, we take a drive to Syprubeshi to start the Langtang trek. The Langtang trekking route passes through less-visited diverse ethnic groups' settlements and lush forests to the vantage settlement of Kyangin Gompa. We take a day hike to surrounding peaks. The views from the top are simply majestic with the Himalayan peaks of Langtang Lirung to the north, Gang Chhenpo to the south, and Dorje Lhakpa. Purely the Himalayan wonder. We stay at the tea house which allows more interaction with the local peoples to know their culture and lifestyle. We would like to assure and inform you that the teahouse at Langtang village has been rebuilt already. It is the same Langtang village that got badly damaged by April 2015 earthquake.

      Great Adventure

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mountain Monarch for the great trek we have just had in Langtang. Your staff (porters, Sherpas, and guide) were fantastic, a real credit to the company, and a joy to spend time with.

Our whole group really enjoyed the experience and found it very rewarding on all sorts of levels. The way the clouds lifted when we got up to Kyangin Gompa was just breathtaking! I know we would all love to use Mountain Monarch again so thank you for organizing such a great trip and we look forward to trekking with you again soon!
