Langtang Trek - Short Teahouse Route

The Langtang Trek is one of the less-trodden routes in the Langtang region. It is on one of the short tea house treks close to Kathmandu. This Langtang Trek explores the rich cultural heritage of the Tibetan-influenced ethnic group. We hike into the depth of Langtang National Park to the south of Langtang Lirung. The main highlight of this Langtang trek is Kyanjin Gompa and Kyanjin Ri. Langtang Lirung, Langtang Ri, Dorge Lakpa, Loenopa Gang, Changbu, Gangchenpo, Yala, and Ganjala peaks are some 6th and 7th thousand peaks to watch out on your Langtang trekking.

We drive to Syprubesi to start the Langtang trek. We hike through the lush forests to the vantage settlement of Kyanjin Gompa. We take a day hike to Kyanjin Ri to witness the surrounding peaks. The views from the Kyanjin Ri top are majestic—purely the Himalayan wonder. We stay at the local tea house on this Langtang trek. It allows interaction with the local people to know their culture and lifestyle.

      Great Adventure

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mountain Monarch for the great trek we have just had in Langtang. Your staff (porters, Sherpas, and guide) were fantastic, a real credit to the company, and a joy to spend time with.

Our whole group really enjoyed the experience and found it very rewarding on all sorts of levels. The way the clouds lifted when we got up to Kyangin Gompa was just breathtaking! I know we would all love to use Mountain Monarch again, so thank you for organizing such a great trip, and we look forward to trekking with you again soon!
