As the name suggests, the hike culminates at the base camp of the highest mountain in the world- Mt. Everest (8848m).

EBC Trek in 14 Days
Like any other trip to Nepal, the trek to EBC Trek begins with your arrival in Kathmandu. After preparing for the trek, you will take a scenic flight to Lukla. Next, you will begin the trek and walk across the Dudh Koshi River. The trail continues north and passes Chheplung village on the way to Phakding.
Further, the trail enters the Sagarmatha National Park and goes past Jorsalle. Here, you can enjoy the Sherpa culture along with modern hotels, restaurants, and ATMs. After spending a day in the village, you will cross Sanasa and follow the Imja River to Tengboche. In this village, you can also visit the Tengboche Monastery which offers a surreal view of Mt. Ama Dablam (6812m).
The trail stretches across the eastern Khumbu region and passes Dingboche. Next, the trip heads to Thukla village and crosses the Thukla Pass (4830m). The trail hugs the Khumbu Glacier and reaches Lobuche. Further, you will continue on the trek to Gorak Shep Lake and reach Gorak Shep village.
Next, the trail heads east while enjoying the company of Everest Himalayas. Also, the views of Khumbu Glacier and Khumbu Icefall is a surreal sight on the hike to Everest Base Camp. Then, you will descend to Gorak Shep before continuing on a hike to Kala Patthar. This vantage point is known to offer mesmerizing sights of the Himalayas like Mt. Everest (8848m) Lhotse (8516m), Cho Oyu (8201m), and Nuptse (7861m).
After the EBC trek, you return to Gorak Shep and prepare for the return trip. The trail follows the Imja River and resumes to Namche Bazaar. Then, you make another descent to Lukla village. From here, you will take a flight back to Kathmandu which brings the trip to a close.
