Thank you for such a great trek. Mountain Monarchs took care of every detail and provided excellent guides (Pasang knew the elevations of nearly every peak). Of all the trekking groups we saw on the mountain, Mountain Monarchs seemed to give us the best service -- and the best price. It was all even better than we expected. We hope to send you our friends soon!

Mountain Monarch is every bit as good as its excellent website. I chose them for a spring Island Peak trip because of their professionalism, value for money, and, not least, because they were a local Kathmandu-based company. I have been particularly impressed by the friendliness, knowledgeableness, and attention to detail that characterizes this company, from the Managing Director down to the porters. This all contributed to a trip of a lifetime. Anyone thinking of visiting the incredible Himalayas should look no further!

I, Mark Squirrell, along with three other friends, employed the services of Mountain Monarch to guide and support our efforts to climb Imja Tse (Island Peak) in the Solo Khumbu District of Nepal. Mountain Monarch provided pre-mission advice, catering, accommodation, training, and guidance to allow our team to reach the summit of the 6189-meter peak. The quality of service offered by the Mountain Monarch staff was extremely high and of a professional standard.

In particular, they showed immense care and motivation toward our endeavor to reach the top. Without their help and guidance, it is clear that we would not have all made it to the top. I recommend Mountain Monarch to any individual or group who may wish to climb Imja Tse or similar mountains.

I would like to thank all at Mountain Monarch for my fantastic Island Peak adventure. The trek was such great fun, and this was in no small part attributable to the friendly, attentive, and supremely knowledgeable Mountain Monarch staff.

While I had been informed before departure that a medical box and a Gamow bag would accompany the group on the entire trek, I was still hugely surprised when I saw just how comprehensive the medical provisions were. I am impressed.

I would particularly like to highlight that the trek leaders of Mountain Monarch knew their stuff, from the conditions on the trek to the wealth of information and insight into lifestyle and culture, the appropriate medicine to be administered for any health condition, and so much much more.

Knowing I was in good hands greatly enhanced my enjoyment of the adventure. Mountain Monarch also proved reliable and responsible; in fact, the staffs were always ready to go the extra mile to make my trip unforgettable. Mountain Monarch has won me over in every way. I will be taking all future treks in the region with Mountain Monarch.

Mera peak 2015 – 100% success – Great company. I thank Mountain Monarch for organizing an unforgettable trip to Mera Peak in April 2015. This was our third trip to Nepal, and each time with Mountain Monarch. Pradip was excellent at communicating and answering our questions before leaving the UK. They supplied us with the necessary kit needed for our trip that was top quality. The guides/porters/cook & kitchen staffs were excellent throughout the journey, and we couldn’t fault them. We were in a small group of just 5 and had a 100% success rate of reaching the top of Mera Peak. On our way down to Lukla, we experienced the earthquake and were fortunate to be in a safe place. Mountain Monarch was very helpful in communicating with our families, who were obviously concerned with the disaster.

Just thought I would give you some feedback on my recent trip to Island Peak with Mountain Monarch, an experience I very much enjoyed and am pleased to inform you had a successful outcome.

I found the services that Mountain Monarch provided to be of a very high standard, and the staff courteous and helpful. I particularly would like to thank Sunil and Morti for their encouragement and light-hearted humor when the going got tough; it was very much appreciated. I have no hesitation in recommending your services to anyone contemplating a journey to Nepal, be it trekking, climbing, or some other activity.

The Trek leader and staff were very accommodating + caring, especially when I was ill. One highlight was the ice cave at Everest base camp and also the views from the top of the Island peak. Everything went smoothly, and I enjoyed every minute. Thanks for the great trip.

Guildford East District Scout, UK, has worked with Mountain Monarch on five occasions. In 2007 they organized a trek to Everest Base Camp. In 2009, 2011 & 2013, they assisted us in organizing and installing clean water supplies to remote hillside villages and a bespoke trek in the Annapurna, Langtang, and Solu Khumbu regions. At Easter this year, 2015, they again assisted us in organizing and installing another clean water supply in a remote hillside village Gumda in the Lower Manaslu region and provided us with another bespoke trek.

Mountain Monarch has exceeded all these requirements. 
On all five of the expeditions. Their service before, during, and after the expedition has been exemplary. The equipment provided for our use was of the highest quality. The dedication of the Trek Leaders and the Guides to the well-being of all party members has been first-class, and we have been privileged to work with them.

From Pradip, the owner, to all of the guides and porters, the folks at Mountain Monarch were professional, kind, and friendly from when we all met in Kathmandu through my 18-day group Everest circuit trek to our return to Kathmandu. The experience was one of the best of my life. They kept my group safe, healthy, and happy for the trip, despite risks that can harm any trekker, such as altitude sickness and food poisoning. Regarding the overall cost of the trek, I found MM´s pricing to be quite competitive with that of their (many) competitors. I should also add that Pradip, the owner was also friendly enough to personally drop me off at the Kathmandu airport so I could catch a flight to my next destination of Bangalore. I would definitely trek with MM again. In fact, I am hoping I can join them again for a new trek in the next three years, with my father joining me. I rarely post reviews but am compelled to do so to spread the word about how impressive MM´s services are.

Two days rafting on Trishuli River + 4 days along Annapurna up to Poon Hill Our thoughtful & passionate Trek Leader and his Sidekick -Porter, turned this relatively short adventure into an incredible journey. We were planning a Part 2 (and Part 3, 4,5, etc.) with them even before the end and departing Kathmandu!

Mountain Monarch and their Rafting Partner also ensured that each second was thoroughly considered and taken care of, emphasizing the individual and, perhaps, more importantly, the group’s safety. And in case one gets bored with the scenery (AS IF!!!), we were fully engaged with some fantastic hospitality shown by the entire team. There was never a dull moment, even at rest, as we were kept well- reveled with interesting facts & figures, tidbits & tales, and some fascinating bedtime stories.
