    Challenging trek enjoyable

Pradip and his staff did an excellent job of making a challenging trek enjoyable, educational, and a lifetime experience. The trekking was well-planned, and our guide and porter reliable and helpful. We made the trek post-2015 earthquake without incident. We had absolute confidence in our well-being during the entire trip. The people we met were both exciting and as enthused as we were with the adventure. Mountain Monarch is an excellent choice if you are looking for a challenge beyond the ordinary. Namaste!

Excellent adventure in Nepal and Himalaya

Vicky and I would like to thank Mountain Monarch for an excellent 2-week adventure in Nepal and the Himalayas in March 2016. From our pickup at the airport to departure, we were looked after really well. Our guide Dawa and our porter, Ram, were courteous and kind. The trip was a great mix of a cultural tour (1 day), rafting (1 day), and trekking (10 days). I will always remember our rafting day, “please, Sir, swim for pleasure !?” and the generosity of Dawa, Ram, and Pradip. You probably cannot find a better value package for a Nepali adventure.

    Personalised service with Mountain Monarch

” You will get personalized service with Mountain Monarch. This Annapurna Dhaulagiri trip was my SECOND adventure with them. Their porters are treated with dignity and respect. So you will get to know your Sherpas and porters as friends before the end of your trek. Mr. Pradip, the owner of Mountain Monarch, is thoughtful, trustworthy, and professional in every sense of the word. Your email will be promptly answered, however simple it is, and have professional advice for all your inquiries. You will be personally met at Kathmandu’s airport, and at the end of the trek, you will be driven to the airport for your departure. Mr. Pradip will personally await your arrival at the hotel to greet you, like one of the family. They will stay with you until you pass through the airport door at your departure. Mountain Monarch is THE leader in Nepal trekking. All necessary drugs and precautions are brought along during the trek in case someone gets into trouble. All the Sherpas and porters used by Mountain Monarch are top-shelf. They are friendly, caring, and genuine. You will be treated like family throughout your trek. In fact, as I write this review, I am contemplating a third trek with Mountain Monarch. Thank you again, Mr. Pradip, for making my visit to Nepal memorable once again.”

    Enjoyed the entire trip

I would like to express my sincere thanks for the recent trekking experience with my son Nick, the two Tasmanians Hamish and Andrew, and one British Andy. Your company team and expertise were fantastic, and your knowledge of the mountains and your religion was simply excellent.

Nick and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip, and I would like to commend your patience when I could not get along as fast as I would have liked. The organization of the trip was first-rate, and I would recommend Mountain Monarch to any other trekkers with similar goals and aspirations in the area.

Mountain Monarch are simply the best

Mountain Monarch is simply the best! I was part of the EBC and Island Peak trek departing at the end of October 2013. While in Australia planning the trip, I was a little reluctant to use a company I had not heard of firsthand, but after a swift and effortless email conversation with Pradip, the company manager, I quickly realized that all the reviews I had read on Trip Advisor were undoubtedly correct. Right from the start of our relationship, the company was professional.

The trek leader Akash and his Sherpa team, led by Mingma, went beyond expectations to make myself and the other trekkers feel right and at home. We all felt extremely safe and that our mission to summit the mountain was the paramount objective. Akash never took any shortcuts with the trek and monitored everybody's health cautiously. At the time of the trek, I was only 22 years old, and coming from Australia, I had very little exposure to extreme weather conditions and altitude adaption requirements.

Akash always encouraged me to talk about how I felt, physical or otherwise, and we even developed a strong friendship through the trek. After spending 23 days perched in the Himalayas, you start to learn about more than mountains. On ascent day, I gave it everything I had but was still unable to summit; Akash personally walked me down the hill and tried to keep my spirits high.

My failure to reach the summit was by no means a reflection of the mountain monarch team. I was simply tired and exhausted, and my body was finding it harder and harder to approach 6000m above sea level, even though we staged our assent incredibly well. I was disappointed that I had never summited the mountain. Still, I fully know that pushing my body further may have had detrimental effects (although Akash and Mingma would never let this happen).

In hindsight, I went to EBC, summited Kalar Plater, learned about the fantastic culture of Nepal and Mountaineering, and made some new friends. I owe my incredible experience to Akash, Mingma, all the Sherpa’s including our Climbing Sherpa, the chef, and Pradip; without the team, I would not have been able to achieve my dream (well, almost J ). Without question, whenever I go back to Nepal, I will trek with Mountain Monarch.

Sincerely, Sam, 23 Perth, Western Australia.

    Perfect Island Peak trek

I initially chose Mountain Monarch because it seemed more professional than the other agencies. I can only say that everything was perfectly organized from my Island Peak trek. I had an excellent time, not only thanks to the professionalism of Pradip, his guides, and porters but also thanks to their superb friendliness. Next time I go to Nepal, I will know where to go!

    Special trip

I can not adequately express how delighted I was with not only choosing MM. From the first days of constantly emailing my questions and your patient responses, from Day 1 at the airport seeing our guide Prakash's ever-smiling face to the sad day he took us back. It was the most beautiful experience, and I honestly put that down to the team of Sherpas, guides, and helpers – everyone at MM who made it a success and a memorable trip for me.

I traveled last year with another, much more significant, non-Nepalese-based company, and I felt the difference this time around both in professionalism and in really getting to know Prakash and his team – and that was one of the significant parts of my trip I will treasure for my life. Again, these guys are locals who know the area so well and were happy to share three weeks of their lives with us.
